SC4 is delighted to be partnered with a dynamic and leading SME with an outstanding reputation in their industry to recruit an enthusiastic 1st Line Support Technician. This role will require you to support over a 100 user base based at their head office near Witham, Essex.
What the role will offer you:-
* The responsibility to provide user support by owning and resolving user requests through resolution, escalation, delegation, or education.
* Monitoring user requests for satisfaction, investigating trends and opportunities.
* You will be asked to own and resolve network issues through resolution, escalation, delegation, or education.
* To build up new devices to specification, followed by handover/deployment.
* To maintain both user and infrastructure hardware.
* To administer network device patching/routine.
* You will be responsible for aiding the IT support companies in their work as an on-site technician
* To support third party companies in accessing hardware\software
* You will be asked to maintain departmental asset tracking, to produce and maintain documentation and to run planned maintenance on systems
What Technical Skills you will need for this role:
You will be confident in MS office productivity tools (M365, Teams) , Network topologies, Managing users and expectations in a 1st line support role
* Languages: (MS) SQL and VBA
* Microsoft Windows based environment
Desirable Knowledge of SAP Crystal reports, SQL SSRS, TCP\IP, and Printer admin, PowerShell, command line, Azure tenancy and Security principals would be an advantage.
