Our client, based in Gorleston, is a leading not-for-profit, business led group, representing the energy sector for East Anglia. Skills for Energy (SfE) is one of their core programmes; it is led by industry and its primary aim is to ensure the ongoing diversity and volume of skilled individuals for the current and future wellbeing of the energy sector.
We are recruiting on their behalf for a Skills for Energy Manager to focus on delivering skilled people to the energy industry for long-term careers, ensuring the existing workforce continues to meet the industry's needs, now and in the future.
Responsibilities include:
• Working with the Head of Skills, to formulate and deliver the SfE strategy.
• Developing and delivering events to support the SfE programme.
• Helping to develop equality, diversity and inclusion strategies in line with industry targets.
• Leading on the development of marketing strategies for the programme.
• Delivering existing and developing new initiatives.
• Leading on and developing SfE social media channels and website.
• Developing and launching new competitions and campaigns to promote the programme.
• Attending relevant careers/school/higher education events, trade shows and conferences.
• Developing an understanding of and reporting on the regional skills challenges.
Personal Qualities and Requirements include:
• Excellent ambassadorial and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms
• Competency in writing reports
• Experience of project and campaign management
• Full UK driving licence with own transport
• IT literate with a high level of competency in standard software packages (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
