The role

South Worcestershire Parenting and Community Development plays an important role supporting local families with children aged 0-19. Our skilled workforce work in partnership with other local and national organisations to enable families to achieve positive outcomes. Providing support such as positive parenting courses, & supporting the local community to deliver universal activities to local families.

We have a great opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to join our team.

You will make a difference by:

- Performing varied administrative tasks including photocopying, filing, data input.

- Minute local meetings, producing letters, reports and other documents using Information Technology including email and internet.

- Working collaboratively as part of a team and provide help and support to other team members.

- Booking travel arrangements, accommodation for members of the team, and ensure that they have knowledge of the agreed itinerary and that they are kept up-to-date of appointments and bookings.

- Keeping up-to-date and accurate records of financial transactions.

- Arranging room bookings, ensuring that meeting rooms are set up and maintained.

- Maintaining telephone communication (including switchboard- where appropriate) both in and out of the office ensuring messages are processed and other enquiries dealt with in the appropriate manner.

- Processing incoming and outgoing mail as required.

- Undertaking reception duties, and in so doing to welcome internal and external visitors,

You will need:

- Business Administration S/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualifications (or work experience)

- Experience of using computers on a business network running MS Windows and Office applications, email and the Internet.

- Confident communicator with the ability to deliver and manage basic written and oral communication effectively.

- Ability to prioritise tasks according to deadlines and produce accurate .work

- Ability to apply numeracy and literacy skills, to the duties of the post.

- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and agreed processes, to set standards and timescales.

- Good attention to detail with the ability to learn new processes and demonstrate good practice to others,

- Consistently achieves set deadlines when dealing with specific requests with confidence and accuracy.
