Principle Engineer Infrastructure
As one of the leading Fire Services in the country, our primary role is to provide emergency fire cover and proactive prevention to the people within our community. Technology underpins many of the activities that we perform, which contribute to helping keep our communities safe.
As a team, we strive to understand the needs of our users, to help us design and build systems, infrastructure and services that drive digital engagement across the Brigade. We particularly focus on enabling and improving our users experience with a mobile first approach using the latest technology and innovative ideas to unlock real value.
We have also recently taken on responsibility for providing services to deliver national solutions, in order to bring together data from across the sector to facilitate effective and efficient decision making.
As a result, we are currently recruiting for a temporary position of Principle Engineer Infrastructure for a duration of 12 months. This will allow Digital & Data to help us deliver our transformation vision to both West Midlands Fire Service and our partners.
This role is based at the Birmingham Headquarters site, although it will be expected that a large proportion of time will be spent working from home during the current climate.
We believe in our mission of making West Midlands Safer Stronger and Healthier and using digital technology as an enabler to underpin this strategy, helping the brigade work better for everyone
* In a culture where digital as an enabler will help people, systems and processes become more efficient and effective.
* By providing assurance and intelligence for evidence-based decisions with accurate, useful and timely information that will reduce community risk through our mobile workforce.
* Enabling the secure and reliable sharing of data with our partners and the cost-effective, joined-up delivery of services to the most vulnerable people in our communities.
We are passionate about technology and want to ensure that we have the systems and staff to deliver the best user experience.
Role Closes on 31st July
