Production Team Leader
* Permanent
* Leeds
* Afternoon Shift (14:00 - 22:00)
* Salary in the region of GBP21,000 - GBP24,000
We are currently looking to recruit a Team Leader for a leading medical product processing company, that's expanding their operations. The main purpose of the role is to make decisions as required to optimise safety, quality, and delivery while leading a shift of roughly 60 people.
Duties & responsibilities as a Production Team Leader:
* Lead the shift in autonomy on a daily basis to deliver the business needs while ensuring optimal working conditions are in place for oncoming shifts
* Make decisions as required to optimise safety, quality, and delivery
* Audit team compliance to established standards and operations, and intervene as appropriate to ensure these are met in full
* Complete own production administration, ensuring it is completed within established time scales
* Liaise with the Production Manager and relevant departments to ensure production turnaround is managed to target
* Effectively utilise the strengths and skills of those within the team to ensure all business and customer demands of the production teams are coordinated and effectively achieved.
* Monitor and effectively address capability / outputs of those within the team, and identify training needs such that performance of the individual and the team are optimised
* Ensure clear and concise communications via management meetings
* Coordinate continuous activity across the facility ensuring the supervisory teams are aligned with improvement projects
* Assist production in ensuring that the Decontamination Facility operates in such a way as to comply with (and remain successfully accredited to) International Standard 93/42/EEC as required by the Medicines and Health Regulatory Authority (MHRA).
Experience required:
* Be a highly driven, tenacious and dynamic leader with experience of successfully leading groups of up to 60 people
* Demonstrate capabilities as an effective and well-rounded leader in a production environment.
* Have a strong leadership style suited to challenging unwanted behaviours
* Be capable of managing workplace changes effectively
* Be able to confidently and effectively work autonomously
* Have a comprehensive understanding of production management systems, and ability to interpret their outputs
* Be highly IT proficient, capable of producing accurate and relevant data from various systems when required
* Be able to work under pressure, prioritising work for self and others according to business needs
* Be able to communicate well at all levels within the business
* Have strong organisational skills and ability to make measured decisions under pressure
* Demonstrate confidentiality and integrity at all times
This position is easily commutable from Bradford, Leeds and Birkenshaw.
