We are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for a company based just outside Cambridge. Reporting to the Head of Mechanical Engineering you will work alongside existing Mechanical Design Engineers on new product design and development. The work will involve 3D modelling (Solidworks), design analysis, drafting, supplier and customer liaison, prototype building, product testing and production support.
Requirements
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering
* Good A level results
* Ability to work in a 3D modelling environment (preferably Solidworks)
* Recent relevant experience
* A keen interest in the process of mechanical design and product development
* Able to take responsibility for their work and share responsibility with others
* Self-motivated
The following would be highly beneficial:
* Rapid prototyping
* Injection moulding
* 3D surface modelling
* FEA and thermal analysis
* Design of military products
