We are urgently Support Workers for consistent cover for our client based in the Highlands.
Please see description below.
Health and Social Care Workers, Band 3, are urgently required to undertake shifts throughout March and April. The care at home and housing support package supports one individual with autism to live independently. The person has 2:1 support between 8.00am and 4.00pm and 1:1 support from 4.00pm to 10.30pm. A sleep in shift ensures the persons wellbeing from 10.30pm to 7.30 am.
Supporting Independent Living in the Community, S.I.L.C., is a NHS Highland support provider with the main work base in Portree providing a service to the person requiring support in their own home in Broadford.
The work is intense and very rewarding. The person enjoys getting out and about walking, swimming and attending college. Key personal outcomes are around maintaining independent living and managing challenging behaviour.
Our client is looking for small number of workers to provide cover and commit to the period of March and April this year. This will ensure that the person has the opportunity to get to know them and the number of new people in their life is minimised therefore we are looking for consistent cover from the worker.
During the day when there is 2:1 support one of the support workers will be from the existing team. Evening and sleep in shifts will be required without an existing team member being present. Management on call is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week to offer guidance and support if it is needed.
