Job Description
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Digital Learning Designer Manager to join the team here at Smiths Detection. Working within a dedicated Digital Training capability as part of the Global Training Department you will take the lead on the creation of digital training solutions for multiple sectors within our global customer community. You will have the autonomy to analyse and mould our digital training offering, using a range of skills that will include training design, complex project management and global stakeholder engagement.
Duties & Responsibilities
* A critical management position in the Digital Training capability you will support the delivery of the Global Training Strategy by prioritising the Digital Workstream activities.
* You will be part of the management team responsible for the Global Training Learning Management System, a platform that must meet the need of our internal and external customers.
* Working with the other capability leads within the Department, you will take responsibility for the establishment of digital training performance and quality metrics in order to evaluate performance against strategic objectives.
* Management of multiple complex delivery programmes, ensuring these are delivered on time, meeting the needs of global stakeholders and ensuring we remain within budget.
* Support the planning, scheduling and management of global digital training activities with an ability to provide accurate revenue forecasting and reporting for digital training.
* Demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, working with the Global Training Director and the SMT to deliver the Training Strategy and lead on multiple Workstream activity that enables the team to meet the Director's targets
* Establish and maintain exceptional relationships with Marketing, Product Managers, Product Specialists, regional Service Managers and regional Service Leads to support the needs of the business.
* Provide expert knowledge of the commercial application of digital Training, Education or Instructional Design demonstrating awareness of emerging technical trends. This will include innovative training delivery media involving the use of graphics, video, illustration & the gamification of learning.

* Previous experience of leading briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives from the assessment of training gaps through to the commercial quotation of proposed digital training solutions.
* Experience of working with projects that include film production for the purposes of digital learning solutions, 3D modelling, animation and gamification of learning.
* Extensive experience working with the Articulate Suite is essential and knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite to include Flash and Illustrator would be beneficial.
