Our client has been established for almost 45 years and are recognised as global market leaders in the provision of refrigeration solutions and associated equipment for a diverse range of customers and applications, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit an experienced Refrigeration Supply Chain Manager to complement their professional team.

Reporting to the Central Services Director, this newly created Cheltenham based role of Refrigeration Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for the ongoing development and management of relationships with key manufacturers throughout the world, and therefore due to the niche nature of the industry, it is essential that the successful candidate demonstrates at least 5 years' experience gained within the refrigeration sector.

The Refrigeration Supply Chain Manager will be tasked with identifying and building strong relationships with suppliers and partnering with them to develop a robust understanding of their products in order to stay up to date with new innovations in this space. Tasked with both identifying and interacting with suppliers and working closely with them to build strong and lasting commercially viable relationships, the Supply Chain manager will excel in building a robust understanding of suppliers and their products in order to position the business as a distribution partner of choice.

Skilled in understanding and executing the supply chain strategy in order to maximize customer satisfaction and profitability, you will be skilled in negotiating supplier contract terms and ensuring they are both favourable and resilient, and will plan, manage and coordinate the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand. Responsible for ensuring that all supply chain activities meet customer demand and agreed lead times, you will coordinate the supply chain functions through resource optimization, profitability maximization and best practice and work closely with the commercial and operations teams in order to understand client demand and to position the company as trusted partners, with the ability to educate on innovations in the market, product suitability and alternative products as they arise. You will also work closely with the Procurement Manager to determine best practices and draw on their expertise when needed.

As mentioned above, it is essential that you can demonstrate at least five years supplier management and negotiation experience gained within the refrigeration industry.

You will be an effective negotiator and influencer with demonstrable experience of executing supply contracts and of inventory management, with evidence of establishing and maintaining excellent business relationships with key external and internal parties being critical for the position. You will be skilled in handling multiple projects at any one time whilst being flexible and able to adapt to the changing needs of the business as they may arise and will possess exceptional communication skills at all levels as well as being able to prioritise effectively, and will be comfortable in working both autonomously and as part of a team and undertaking travel to customers, suppliers and Head Office as required.
