Pinpoint Resourcing are currently working with a hospitality company who are seeking a HR Advisor that can work in a fast-paced environment. Our client requires someone with a positive attitude and a great work ethic, if this applies to you - keep reading!
About Us:
We are looking for a HR Advisor to work behind the scenes in our HR team, primarily supporting our Operations Managers and General Managers.
This wide-ranging position would suit someone looking for a fast-paced and stretching role in HR which enables them to use their problem-solving skills to find creative solutions when faced with challenges.
Key responsibilities:
* This role will be a key point of contact in providing HR/ER advice to managers at all levels as well as Head Office-based staff on a broad range of HR/ER matters including but not limited to discipline and dismissal, grievance, absence management, performance management, capability and sickness absence, family friendly policies, TUPE and restructure/redundancy;
* Suggest solutions that fit business needs to mitigate ER risks in line with best practice, demonstrating fairness, pragmatism and commercialism;
* Act as subject matter expert, coach managers in managing HR and ER matters in line with legislation and best practice;
* make sure all advice is compliant with both Company procedures and current employment legislation and is consistently applied in all HR matters;
* Build and maintain effective relationships within the business to promote good employee relations across all sites and coach and support managers in taking responsibility for HR and ER management at their sites;
* Develop guidance, documentation and toolkits to enable excellence of service to the business; and
* Provide structured training and/or ad hoc briefings to all levels of staff on employment matters.
Requirements:
* In-depth, current knowledge of UK employment legislation and best practice;
* Strong, effective communication skills, in person and in writing, with the ability to coach and challenge at all levels in the business;
* Excellent attention to detail;
* Experience in a similar environment and hospitality industry
* Able to balance the needs of the business with safeguarding our most important asset.
Qualifications:
-CIPD Level 5 (or similar)
-Minimum 3 years' experience
