Who are we?
We are United Utilities, the North West's water and Wastewater Company. It's our job to bring 3.0 million households and thousands of businesses an incredible 1,700 million litres of clean, clear water each day. We take it all away too, treating it so it's safe to go back into the rivers.
Our 5,000 employees are key to achieving our ambitious vision and plans and we all work together to provide a great service to our customers.
This is where you come in???
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our Income team at our Head Office in Warrington.
This is a brand new role where you'll really get to 'make your mark'. You'll work closely with managers and the senior leadership team in our Income department to understand business needs and provide expertise to maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of the systems used to manage debt and support collection strategies.
You'll be a subject matter expert in collections systems with a detailed understanding of the functionality in Alto (United Utilities Billing System) and FICO Debt Manager and ultimately you will help to drive collections activity, enabling the achievement of company cash collection and bad debt targets.
What will you focus on?
You'll be responsible for the design, development, and unit test of the changes to the dunning strategies in Alto, which is pivotal to the success of the early collection and payment plan follow up processes.
You will articulate collection strategies in business terms and translate business change request documents into design documents, raising the relevant change requests and overseeing these through to deployment.
You will also review the detail of FICO Debt Manager upgrades documenting details of the changes/fixes/new functionality being delivered including any associated impacts. You will Identify under-utilised product functionality and create a business case where appropriate.
Working closely with our Collections Systems Manager and other stakeholders in the business, this role offers the right candidate the opportunity to gain a wide breadth of experience and the real opportunity of progression in United Utilities; as well as a great experience in delivering optimal business processes, debt collection strategies, business systems and technologies in a fast paced and highly regulated environment.
What do you need?

An ability to build and establish effective relationships in order to elicit information from key individuals, respond to challenging priorities with a sense of urgency and pace and ability to work in pressurised environment.
The ability to plan and take a pragmatic approach to meet required deadlines, so you will need to be well-organised and self-reliant.
