The role

North Devon Children's Centre provides a range of targeted Early Help services to families with Children aged 0-8 years. In Devon, Early Help is made up of service users, community resources, and a range of service providers who will work together to enable families to manage their own dilemmas and solve their own problems, making changes to secure the well-being of their children

You will undertake a wide variety of administrational roles including reception duties, handling queries, financial tasks, data entry and collation and preparation of a wide variety of documents for internal and external audiences. You will need to be experienced in the use of word and excel.

You will make a difference by:

- Providing a range of administrative and front of house services.

- Organising and progressing the full range of activities associated with the management of business meetings, ensuring efficient and effective planning for a single or series of meetings.

- Providing written, verbal and e-correspondence.

- Undertaking desktop research on behalf of colleagues and management.

- Producing presentations, written and financial reports for management.

- Maintaining and supporting the development of management information systems.

- Contributing to income and expenditure reporting, referring to budget and financial reports.

- Retaining up-to-date and accurate records of financial transactions.

You will need:

- Business Administration S/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification or work experience.

- Experience of using PC's on a business network running MS Windows and Office, along with Email and Internet and specific business applications i.e. finance.

- Experience of providing a confidential, professional service and to work flexibly to meet the demands of the role

- To work within a team environment, demonstrating tact and diplomacy with other members of staff and where necessary to direct and guide.

- Ability to respect confidentiality in the workplace and to provide a professional service to meet the demands of the role.

- Effective communication written and oral to a range of different personnel.

- Proven track record of liaising with senior external stakeholders to co-ordinate key activities,

- Need to be a car driver and have access to a vehicle in order to be able to travel to other Northern Devon Children's Centres when necessary
