Job Title: Production/Operations Manager

Nicholas Associates Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced production operations manager who is hungry to progress into a senior operations/directors position in the next 2 3 years. Our client is a global manufacturer with interest in Automotive, Aerospace, Rail, Energy, and General Manufacturing sectors.
Summary
Reporting to the Managing Director the Production Operations Manager will hold responsibility for ensuring all production targets and schedules are safely met according to forecasted production quantity and quality requirements. A member of the Senior Management Team you will also be involved in, not exhaustively, strategic decision making, organisational challenge, resource planning and site safety/security.
Key Duties
Assume leadership over production, engineering, maintenance and health and safety departments
Full accountability for the Financial Performance for all Production activity including direct and indirect costs
Identify, conduct or support Continuous Improvement plans/actions
Develop and maintain a succession plan for your team to identify individual and collective potential, to realise recruitment and training needs, to establish mentoring and development programmes to ensure site stability and sustainability for the future
Required Skills & Experience
Proven leadership experience within a Manufacturing environment, leading multi-disciplined teams
Experience in continuous improvement, problem solving and change management in an industrial environment.
Good financial and commercial awareness and analytical skills
Must have the ability and ambition to take on a Senior role within the UK operation 2-3 years
