Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a Makaton Teaching Assistant Level 3 to join our successful supply teaching team and to work in a local primary school in Chesterfield. This is a full time primary teaching assistant role, working in the integrated resource unit of a mainstream primary school. The role will commence in Sept 2021 until July 2022.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are Makaton & Level 3 Teaching Assistant.

The role
The successful Makaton Teaching Assistant will be working five days a week from Sept 2021 - July 2022. You will provide general classroom support in an integrated resource attached to the mainstream primary school. The role would suit someone with excellent knowledge of Makaton, ideally someone who has worked in an integrated resource unit.

Requirements
To be considered for the Makaton Teaching Assistant position, you will:

Hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Childcare.
Have experience of working as a Teaching Assistant in a Primary environment.
Be experienced in working with smaller nurture groups to boost attainment.

Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.
Ideally have experience delivering primary lessons.
