GBP40,000 per annum
For the role of Developer your duties will involve the following;
* For the role of Developer, you will be developing new, and supporting existing software, web, mobile and API applications as well as supporting the IT Manager for any tasks in relation to the IT Department across the Print Division.
* You will be maintaining, supporting, and continually improving the OSCA system.
* For the role of Developer, you will maintain, support, and continually improve web, API, mobile and software applications written by or on behalf of the Security Print Division.
* You will perform fixes and updates for web, API, mobile and software applications written by or on behalf of the Print Division.
* Develop new web, API, mobile and software applications in an agreed timeframe to client and/or business specification.
* Develop applications in the most economic, robust, and secure way while always catering for customer and business requirements.
* Writing and implementing clean and efficient code.
* Performing testing and UAT.
* Deploying new applications efficiently and to industry standards.
* Assessing website security and installing updated software to ensure that websites and client data remain secure.
* Creating technical documentation for developed applications.
* To be available 24/7 at short notice for emergency issues with web, API, mobile or software applications.
* Preparing training manuals and training end users.
* To troubleshoot any server-side or client-side issues relating to web, API, mobile and software applications written by or on behalf of the Security Print Division.
* Provide time estimates for new web, API, mobile and software application development projects.
* Follow ISO27001 & any other security policies and procedures as required by the Clients international standards.
* For the role of Developer, you will participate in frequent Development Meetings.
* Provide hardware specifications for the hosting, processing, and running of software, mobile, web and API applications.
* Continually learn new technologies and languages to ensure the Security Print Division remain at the cutting edge of technology regarding software, mobile, web and API applications.
* Work with the Security Division IT Department to ensure integration with systems and processes.
The ideal candidate for the role will have the below attributes;
* For the role of Developer, a background in programming, computer science and computer engineering are essential.
* Analytical thinking.
* Broad technical expertise.
* C#, VB, .NET. and any other language required to fulfil development requirements.
* Front-end and back-end development expertise.
