Site Manager (Vehicle Preparation)
Are you an experienced manager with a sucessful track record looking for a new and exciting opportunity?
If so, Carbase may be the perfect fit for you! From humble beginnings Carbase, formally Brent Cars launched in 2003 as a family-run dealership in a small Somerset village. Since then we have grown into the largest independent used car dealership in the South-West and we are looking for an experienced site manager to join our growing family.
Purpose of the Site Manager (Vehicle Preparation) role
The site manager will oversee the process of vehicle reconditioning responsible for data, cosmetic, mechanical, valeting and site operation functions. The business has newly acquired the site and wish to expand operations moving from the current output of 200 vehicles per month to 1,000+ by the end of the calendar year.
Site Manager (Vehicle Preparation) Role Responsibilities
* Oversee the vehicle preparation through from defleet, inspection, cosmetic & mechanical reconditioning, valeting to quality control
* Identify improvements to drive lean processes for maximum efficiency of production functions and maximising cost overhead
* Drive, monitor, evaluate and report on site performance. Support with information gathering, interpretation and presentation to group where required
* Develop a high-performance culture and engage with direct reports through visible leadership, regular communication, performance management and development opportunities
* Drive site growth through expansion of workforce and development of site infrastructure to meet maximum site potential to provide high numbers of quality sales ready vehicles to reach the groups ambitious sales targets and expansion plans
* Champion of a 'Health & Safety Comes First' environment ensuring compliance with corporate and legal requirements. Support with H&S initiatives where required and control operations impact on the environment
* Build and sustain key supply relationships identifying opportunities whilst promoting the high standards of the company and operation
* Work directly with branch sales managers to promote preparation standards and resolve quality issues should they arise
What we are looking for in Site Manager (Vehicle Preparation)
Essential:
* Experience of running a production process from start to finish (5+ years)
* Experience of managing a team of 20+ employees
* Understanding and experience in forms of business improvement techniques such as Lean, six sigma, etc
* Adherence to process to achieve KPIs through your team

* Motor trade Experience
Travel - This role will be based at our Avonmouth site. Some travel may be required however this will be limited and within the Southwest area.
