Elevation Accountancy & Finance are really pleased to be working in partnership with a key client based in the Rotherham area as they look to expand their growing team and appoint a Credit Control / Sales Ledger professional to join them on full time, permanent basis.
In this role, you will be working as part of a friendly finance team to take ownership over your own customer portfolio and manage a busy sales ledger (from start to finish) whilst minimising the credit risk for the site. This is an ideal role for someone from an accounts/sales admin background who is looking to step in to a role where you will be fully supported from day one to develop your accounts receivable skills.
Duties of the Credit Control / Sales Ledger Clerk will include, but are not limited to:
* Create and distribute daily sales invoices
* Reconciliation of sales to SAP
* Daily allocation of incoming cash
* Ensure all debts are settled in accordance with agreed terms
* Create and submit daily sales reports
* Monthly trust account reconciliations
* Produce Rotherham month-end sales reports
* Assist in financial audits throughout the year
* Reconcile any self-billed and monthly invoiced accounts
* Send out monthly customer statements
* To compile and submit the credit control report
* To process manual and proforma invoices
* Any other duties as required
Person Specification:
* Previous experience of working within a fast paced Credit Control/Sales Ledger/Collections position
* Educated to GCSE level in Maths & English (Grade C or above)
* High level of written and spoken English
* Ability to work well towards strict targets/deadlines
* Experience of preparation and development of monthly reports
