Are you a Purchasing Manager from an Engineering or Distribution background looking for a varied, dynamic role where you will be involved in the purchase of all company engineering materials, parts, and consumables?
On offer is a long term, permanent role with a rapidly expanding and successful business. They are a well-established growing company and are looking for motivated individuals to join the team.
This company distribute specialist machines and Process Equipment to Drink Manufacturers around the UK and the world.
This role would suit a Buyer/Purchaser from an Engineering background who has previously bought Capital Goods, looking for a varied role.
THE ROLE
* Be involved in, and bear some responsibility for, certain areas of purchasing within an established and growing supply chain. These areas can include, but are not limited to, components and equipment, small tools, machine tooling, and facilities services.
* Identify prospective purchasing requirements within the business, source new suppliers, negotiate pricing with new and existing suppliers, negotiate payment and delivery terms.
* Build and maintain records relating to purchasing activity and contracted purchases.
* Conduct analysis of existing activity and identify improvement opportunities, and to implement improvement projects where appropriate.
THE PERSON
* Purchasing/Buying background (Capital goods preferred)
* Distribution or Engineering background
