Culina Group a well-established leader in the logistics market is recruiting for Casual LGV/HGV C+E Class 1 Drivers on permanent basis at our Bristol (Avonmouth) depot.
Job Description
Salary and shift pattern:
Various shifts available to suit your lifestyle: - GBP141 per day
Various start times available: - Days, Afternoons or Nights
Type of work: Delivery of chilled goods to RDC's and customer collections - minimal interaction with the load. Driving some of the best vehicles on the road today.
The role holder will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
* Adhering to signing in and out procedure and ensuring correct and thorough completion of paperwork.
* Maintaining a good working knowledge of operations within the transport department.
* Effectively manage own working time in line with the Road Transport Directive.
* Adhering to tachograph rules and regulations at all times.
* Ensuring daily vehicle checks are completed in line with company procedure.
* Taking responsibility for unit and trailer, including temperature checks.
* Making deliveries to customers' premises, acting in a professional manner at all times.
* Immediately reporting any problems regarding delivery arrival times, delays or discrepancies with loads.
* Ensuring proof of deliveries (PODs) are signed and returned to the Transport Office after delivery.
* Ensuring regular communication with the Transport Office.
* Observing and adhering to site procedures at each delivery point.
* Ensuring correct completion of a defect report as and when required.
* Occasional nights out due the nature of our business, approx. 2 per month.
Qualifications
* Possession of LGV Class 1 Licence
* Current DriverCPC and Digicard
* Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers' hours.
* Excellent communication skills
* Effectively prioritise workload in order to meet set deadlines
