Infrastructure Support Technician (2nd line) - Poole

The Role
An experienced, enthusiastic, and versatile individual is required to join an established technical helpdesk team in supporting a full range of IT infrastructure solutions, primarily based around application, desktop, server and storage virtualisation technologies. Key vendors include Microsoft, Citrix, VMWare, EMC, Sonicwall, Dell and HP.
**Working hours will within core hours 7am to 7pm. Shift rota for the department will be in place to cover these hours (shifts would be rota's to be 7am to 3.30pm, 8am to 4.30pm, 9am to 5.30pm and 10.30am to 7pm)
About You
It is expected that candidates have at least 5 years' experience working in a technical support capacity, managing their own queues of support incidents and working to defined SLAs.
Essential skills:
A professional and confident manner
Attention to detail and ability to think laterally under pressure
A strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, Microsoft Active Directory/Group Policies
Understanding of network infrastructure appliances such as routers, switches and wireless network points.
Accreditation or experience in the majority of the following technical products:
Microsoft 365 Administration & Apps Suite, Azure, In Tune, Conditional Access, Microsoft 365 Administration & Apps Suite, Microsoft Server Operating systems, Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems, Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft RDS, Hyper-V, Sonicwall Firewalls, Veeam Backup solutions, 3CX Telephony, N-able product range and Scripting (Powershell)
Advantageous skills:
A strong understanding of storage systems (NAS/SAN)
Accreditation or experience in any of the following technical products/practices:
Scripting (Powershell)
Citrix XenApp/Xendesktop/Netscaler
Azure
Apple IOS
SQL
Linux
Symantec Cloud
Cisco Networking
Checkpoint Firewalls
Ubiquiti Networking Equipment
Microsoft Flow
Qualifications and Certifications
Minimum GCSE or equivalent Maths and English - grade C or above
