Teaching Personnel is seeking graduates for a number of roles in Speacial Needs schools across South Gloucestershire. The roles available are to begin in September 2021.. Teaching Personnel can offer both full time and part time roles to suit your availability.

What does a Graduate Teaching Assistant do?

Joining as a graduate teaching assistant you can take on many roles in a school. The main role you will undertake will be to provide 1:1 support for a student. The students that need 1:1 support may have Special Educational Needs (SEN) - if you have any experience supporting individuals with SEN then please let us know.

If you are into any sports or hobbies that you think the students would enjoy learning then you can set up a club in the school to utilise your skills.

You can also provide intervention and tuition in your specialist subject, or English and Maths.

Once you are confident working in a classroom setting you can also take on the role of a cover supervisor. A cover supervisor manages a class when the teacher is not there. You will not have to teach any lessons as the work is already set, you will just have to manage the class and ensure they complete the work set. Working as a cover supervisor will provide you will invaluable experience of what it is like to manage a class and behaviour management techniques.

Daily pay between GBP66.30-GBP70 (dependant on your experience)

Access to all our client Special Needs schools. Once you qualify as a teacher in the future you will already have relationships with schools that you could then potentially return to as a qualified teacher!
Requirements:

Strong academic background
Positive, motivated and reliable individual
Enhanced DBS - Teaching Personnel can provide guidance on how to apply for this.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
