Purpose of the Procurement Manager role:
To develop and maintain an efficient supplier base that delivers effectively against current volumes and supports business growth plans at a competitive cost. To increase OTIF performance with suppliers to prevent stock outs, whilst increasing efficiency by increasing the number of stock turns per year.
Key Accountabilities:
* To manage the supplier base to ensure existing and new suppliers can continuously deliver 'On Time In Full' above 95%.
* To lead negotiations with key suppliers of bought in goods to ensure the business receives both competitive prices and high service levels so that the Company gains a competitive advantage over its competitors.
* To monitor the performance of suppliers and hold performance review meetings with underperforming suppliers, benchmarking against high performing suppliers to help identify improvement areas.
* To challenge suppliers to find ways improve and innovate and to develop & deliver sustainable improvements within own function so that the business effectively manages uncertainty & change.
* To create and develop Service Level Agreements in order that the performance of suppliers and subcontractors can be effectively monitored and measured, ensuring PRMF risk exposure is kept to a minimum.
* To deliver a minimum of 5% YOY Nett cost reduction against total BI spend per annum.
* To proactively manage customer and supplier relationships so that PRMF is viewed as an effective supply partner and considered to be a supplier of choice.
* To lead and motivate the team of Buyers to ensure their potential is maximised and they are working towards departmental and business strategic objectives.
* Effectively organise and prioritise the teams' resources ensuring the team is effectively utilised, through daily, weekly and monthly planning.
* Continually carrying out analysis of the departmental performance and processes identifying improvement areas.
* Liaise with team members, and other internal stakeholders at all levels, to improve communication increasing efficiency whilst enhancing customer satisfaction leading to a higher percentage of repeat business for PRMF.

* CIPS Qualified
* Intermediate or Advanced Excel knowledge
* Knowledge of Sage 500 and Sage 1000
Experience
* Creating reports to be presented at management level in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
* Working with Excel
* Minimum 3 years' experience managing purchasing teams
