Learning Support Assistant
South Tyneside
GBP10.00 per hour
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience for this role is 4-8 weeks as a Teaching Assistant/Learning Support.

Vision for Education is currently seeking a full time Learning Support Assistant to work in a school in the South Tyneside local authority. This role is to start out on supply however could lead to a permanent position for the right individual.
The role
Working as part of a hardworking and dedicated team, the successful Learning Support Assistant will focus on delivering support to children with SLD and PMLD. This position will be 5 days a week, working 08:30 - 16:30 Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will ideally have Team Teach however, this is not essential and can be provided by Vision for Education free of charge for successful applicants.
The school
The school caters for students aged 2-11 with Autism, SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties) and PMLD (Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties).
Requirements
To be considered for the Learning Support Assistant position, you will:
Have experience supporting children in small groups and/or 1:1.
Have experience working with children with ASD, SLD and PLMD and other complex needs.
Ideally, have a DBS on the Update Service.
Have a patient and caring nature.
Be available to work between Monday and Friday 08:30 - 16:30pm
