Highly experienced Electronics Test Engineer required for a long standing and highly successful manufacturing company based in Southend on Sea, Essex. This company have expanded considerably over the last few years and continue to grow. Working in a modern factory environment with a great bunch of people to work with.
As an Electronics Test Engineer you will be dealing with functional testing of board level audio products. Ensuring the equipment is properly tested, calibrated, and certified according to the corresponding test procedures.
Duties will include:
Fault find electronics down to component level to determine cause and remedy any faults. Fault find and repair final assemblies and sub-assemblies as required.
Reworking boards as required to a high standard of accuracy, this will include Single sided and PTH PCB's, using Through Hole and SMD components.
Provide technical support to the Production teams when necessary. Work in other departments and/or accept miscellaneous assignments as required.
Production and maintenance of test method procedures if required.
Versatile and flexible with good communication and interpersonal skills. Able to liaise with other members of staff to meet test/customer requirements.
Promote teamwork, maintain discipline and morale. Ensure personal timekeeping and discipline is maintained at the highest possible level.
Keep the supervisor appraised of all unresolved and/or potential problems that could negatively affect production schedules.
When the Supervisor is not available take control of production schedules and assign staff to ensure these schedules are met.Education and Experience:
Minimum of HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
Solid knowledge in electronics; analogue, power and digital.
A knowledge of audio amplifier circuits would be useful.
At least 5 years relevant experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Be conversant with the use of audio analysers, digital oscilloscopes, and similar audio test equipment. Training will be given as required. Salary - GBP25k to GBP30k dependent on experience plus discretionary annual bonus. Working Monday to Friday 8am-4.45pm with a free lunch provided daily
