Illuminate Resourcing are working in partnership with a fantastic childcare organisation that provides care, education, and therapy services to young people who have experienced trauma in their lives.

The Role & Our Client

Our client is recruiting a Deputy Homes Manager for a brand new care home and a new independent co-educational special school in Staffordshire, which will provide a learning and supportive environment for young people with social, emotional, behavioural, and learning difficulties.

Responsible for:

* Deputy Home Manager to be responsible to the Home Manager for the management of the resource as a whole and

* Deputise for the Home Manager working office hours Monday to Friday while the Home Manager is on annual leave

* Complete 6 shifts per month

* The post holder will be ably skilled and qualified in behaviour management and be able to lead staff teams. In addition, the post holder will be expected to assist the Registered Manager as necessary to;

1. Ensure that the overall Aims, Objectives and Philosophy are achieved through the
maintenance of good quality practice in Residential Care Work and Education.
2. Work in conjunction with the Registered Manager to promote the ethos for the organisation
3. Be responsible to the Registered Manager for the management of the Home and develop the service.
4. Ensure the Home exceeds Quality Standards.
5. Undertake any other duties that may reasonably be required to support service delivery
6. Be part of the On-Call manager team as per rota.

The successful candidate will have proven experience of working with children with learning disabilities and will be a dedicated professional with verified experience and currently working with children. You will hold a minimum of a QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People, or a Registered Nurse with Learning Disabilities qualification.

This position will predominantly work office hours, Monday to Friday. In addition, the successful postholder will be part of the on-call rota, so may have to work weekends and unsociable hours when required.

In return for your hard work, you can expect a salary between GBP28,700.00-GBP30,545.00 per year depending on experience, with industry-leading induction programmes and continuous self-development guidance.
