Our public sector client is looking for a home based Communications Officer on a 3 month initial contract to work as part of their busy News Desk Team that deals with all communication from journalists.
Your main duties will include:
* Provide a proactive and reactive integrated communications and public relations service for the organisation including developing campaign and story ideas to promote the companies policies.
* Provide advice and strategies to maximise positive communications across a range of channels.
* Write and edits high quality content relevant to target audience
* Develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar role that is ideally educated in the field of Journalism or Marketing with excellent communications and PR experience. You will have good exposure to media practices and also a wide range of communication channels. In addition to this you will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal as well as the ability to create high quality integrated media and marketing campaigns.
Past experience in Local Government, Council or Political setting would be advantageous but not essential. If this role is of interest please apply today for immediate consideration.
Pay Rate: GBP17.06 per hour PAYE plus accrued holiday pay or GBP21.60 per hour on umbrella basis
