In an age where the debate about food provenance, sustainability and safety has never been more urgent, the challenge for Compassion in World Farming International is to combat the spread of factory farming and ensure that animal welfare becomes a fundamental consideration within the global food system.
This role will play a critical part in delivering a new re-granting project aimed at supporting grass roots organisations in Asia seeking to start or grow their farm animal welfare advocacy capability.
You will have operational responsibility for managing the granting process.
The post is based at the Compassion in World Farming International headquarters in Godalming, Surrey (45 minutes from London Waterloo). The office is a 3 minute walk from Godalming mainline train station.
Grants Manager Requirements:
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate strong planning and project management skills together with excellent research and data-analytic skills. They will be able to read, analyse and challenge where appropriate a broad range of information. Granting experience is not essential.
They will demonstrate excellent communications and interpersonal skills together with the ability to work with people at all levels and from diverse backgrounds. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards.

Location: Initially to work remotely. Expectation of regular attendance at Godalming HQ during the
contract period.
Fixed Term Contract: (37 hours per week)
Contract type: 10 months (depending on start date) - potential for extension for a further 6 months
Salary range: Up to GBP37,500 p.a. pro rata (depending on experience)
