Care first Recruitment Ltd, our friendly team are currently recruiting escorts to chaperone children to and from school / day centres and colleges. This position will be carried out on mini buses and coaches for Camden Council.
You must be willing to travel to different areas within the borough of Camden as the start times for this role can be early. You also must be willing to work/ travel in the borough of Camden.
You will only be required to work for up to 2-3 hours per day giving you daytime flexibility however you will still be paid either 4 - 6 hours per day. You must be available to work both the morning (between 7.30am-9.30am) and afternoon shift (between 2.30pm-4.30pm).
You will be required to communicate effectively with transport teams, SEN teams, social workers, parents / careers to ensure all children are provided with the up most care, safety and supervision and have a comfortable and dignified journey at all times.
You must have previous experience as a passenger assistant for mini buses/ coaches. You also need to be able to demonstrate patience, understanding and awareness of issues around children having mild to moderate disabilities ,special needs, autism, challenging behaviour. You will need to also be able to demonstrate that you have had some experience with working with children from different age ranges.
Hours: 20-30 hours per week.
