National Express have recently expanded its service to include National Express Accessible Transport (NEAT).
This service provides accessible transport that connects customers with accessibility needs to see friends, family and the ability to access a range of activities, including educational establishments which without our help, would not be possible.
We have rewarding roles available for caring Drivers to join our Team in our Aston Depot. This is much more than a driving role, we are looking for individuals who want to make a difference in the community and provide support to those with transport accessibility needs and have difficulties using public transport services.
* A split shift pattern of 06:30am-09:30am returning for 2:30pm-5:30pm -we will consdier applicants for either the AM or PM shift only.
* From time to time there may be a requirement for additional hours
* You will work 5 days per week, Monday to Friday, term-time only
We are looking for individuals with the ability to safely drive school children with a range of accessibility needs, or other passengers with mobility support required. The role can include working closely with a dedicated escort who will support and look after school children when operating our school contract services. Our drivers must have an understanding of working with individuals requiring additional aid and the ability to be approachable, friendly and caring under any circumstances.
Our NEAT Drivers are of the highest quality, having an understanding of care, strong geographical knowledge of the local area and the desire to positively impact the lives of those using the service.
Day to day you will be...

Driving a minibus to a scheduled timetable (varies depending on part time / full time roles )
*
Connecting school children safely from home to school and back again
*
Providing excellent customer and driving services
*
Working as part of a close team with your dedicated escort and central controllers
*
Focusing on Health and Safety of your vehicle by carrying out routine vehicle checks, repairing minor defects and ensuring the inside of your vehicle allows customers to travel in comfort
*
Everyday is different and there will be ad hoc tasks and responsibilities to undertake
What you'll need...
* Minimum 21 years old
* Full UK Manual Driving Licence
* 6 points or less on your licence
* No driving bans
* Customer Service exposure
