Are you a current Project Engineer/Project Manager (or similar) who has experience managing a project from start to finish (Quotation stage to managing the process and manufacturing stage to delivery on time to the customer) ?
Do you have an understanding and background around metal fabrication associated within a machining and fabrication manufacturing environment? precision engineering, aerospace, automotive etc.
Would you be competent and have a background working closely with customers to pull a project together to hit customer expectations whilst managing the process all the way through the project cycle?

The basics:
Role: Project Engineer/Project Manager Precision Engineering and fabrication department
Location: Ilkeston
Salary: GBP37,000 to GBP43,000 D.O.E
Benefits include: 28 days holiday that rises with service, Pension, Death in service x2 of basic salary, Free onsite parking, Company Uniform, External training courses.
Hours: 07.00 to 16.00 or 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Thursday, and 07.00 to 12.00 on Fridays.
Contracted hours per week: 39 hours

Environment: Precision Engineering Machining and Fabrication
Essential: Full UK Driving Licence

Overview:
Working in modern purpose built office and manufacturing facilities we now require an Project Engineer/Manager to join the business.
You will be working for a large company that have manufacturing facilities located across the UK and machine and fabricate components for some of the worlds largest and respected brands within engineering.
The role in brief:
As the Project Engineer/Manager you will be tasked to take the product from quotation stage right the way through to manufacturing and eventually in delivery on time and within budget to the customer.
You will be working in customer facing role, liaising with internal and external parties working closely with the machining, production and fabrication related staff to pull the project together.

The ideal Project Engineer/Manager will have as many of the following in order to strengthen application:
-A strong understanding of precision engineering, machining principles/fabrication principles as you will be working in this environment
-Time served apprentice trained
-HNC or above qualification
-Previous experience managing projects within a precision engineering, machining, fabrication environment or similar from quotation to completion and the full cycle of the project
-Competent at pulling quotations and estimates together at the start of the project life cycle
-Customer focused as you will face to face at customer sites from time to time
-Experience sourcing and negotiating with suppliers and distributors
-Strong commercial awareness
-You will have ideally worked directly with key customers directly and MRP or ERP systems.
-Experience of APQP, PFMEA's with proven track record of NPI
-Lean manufacturing background and focused

Commutable from Derby, Nottingham, Mansfield, Alfreton, Sutton-In-Ashfield and surrounding areas.
