Apex Resources are currently recruiting for a Night shift team leader for their prestigious manufacturing client in Glasgow South.
This is a permanent role for the correct candidate with an hourly pay of GBP16-18 per hour (variable due to productivity bonus) plus regular overtime at premium rates. In addition, the company offer additional benefits such as 33 days holiday, company pension scheme and both internal and external training. The company has a long history of developing individuals into senior positions.
This is an excellent long-term opportunity to join a long-standing family run production company as a Night shift Team leader/supervisor. If successful you will report directly to the Operations Manager ensuring that all staff work effectively and efficiently to provide the maximum profitability and levels of service within the company. Your key responsibilities will be to provide effective leadership in safety, planning and performance of the production facility.
Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 23:00pm-07:00am and Friday 18:00pm-Midnight.
Responsibilities:
* Maintains all production standards (e.g., Health and Safety, productivity, PPE, behaviour, etc).
* To manage, develop & lead the night shift production team
* To manage an efficient shift in line with KPI &budgetary targets
* Understand the KPIs for production & focuses on the delivery
* Works with the senior leadership to ensure continuous improvement plans are in place to drive year on year improvements.
* Line management responsibility for direct reports.
* Ensure regular performance reviews are in place for them.
* Ensure quality standards are maintained in all production areas and appropriate paperwork completed and signed-off.
* Takes responsibility and accountability for resolving all production issues on shift; escalating to the senior management as required.
Essential skills and experience:
* Good knowledge of current Health and Safety regulations.
* Good communicator
* Have a flexible approach to overtime
* Good approach to time keeping and absence
