Assystem are recruiting for a Buyer to join our customers team. A contract to support the delivery of key projects in Derby.
Role details:
Job title: Buyer
Location: Derby
Contract: Til April 2022
Hours: 37 hours + per week (flexible start and finish times)
Contract type: PAYE via Umbrella
Operating within the supply chain management team across the full product/service life cycle, this role will ensure supplier commercial issues are resolved effectively and efficiently. Manage work queue, including the sourcing of parts/services, raising and management of all purchase documents within the SAP system or other purchasing systems.
Qualifications and experience required to apply for the role:
Membership of CIPS or studying towards the qualification is desirable.
Substantial direct purchasing/supply chain management experience
Experience in SAP (purchasing module) is preferred
Possess understanding of manufacturing processes and the cost drivers, as well as total cost of acquisition impact
Understand and be able to operate Supplier Relationship Management
Proven track record in delivering results**Security clearance is required**
