Eurocell have a great opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join the team at our Recycling Operation in Selby. You will be joining a busy Maintenance department, where you will be working within an environment responsible for the maintenance, repair and performance of all machinery associated with the recycling and production of PVCu products and site services.
Established in 1995 as a PVC-U extrusion business, Eurocell Recycle (Formerly known as Merritt Plastics) specialise in producing high-volume rigid products, extruded using recycled material processed at our own plant.
At the forefront of PVC-U waste recycling, our advanced closed-loop recycling system, old PVC-U and off-cuts from fabrication processes are not just recycled, but turned back into brand new extruded plastic products - all at the same site.
Eurocell have a great opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to join the team at Ilkeston where you will support with the maintenance of all PVCu production machinery, ensuring the department operates efficiently.
Shifts
4 days on, 4 days off shift basis - Rotating Days and Nights (Apply online only).
Duties:
Maintenance of DC motors and associated drives.
Maintenance of process control equipment.
Electrical installations and/or mechanical installation work.
Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance systems (mechanical and electrical).
Breakdown maintenance involving fault finding on industrial and process control systems.
Carry out electrical and mechanical repairs on PVCu extrusion plant and equipment.
Liaison with contractors and suppliers.
Ordering of new/replacement equipment.
Issuing of work permits
Involves travel across multi-sites in Alfreton (vehicle provided)
Key Skills / Experience:
Significant Mechanical and Electrical installation and maintenance experience gained in a manufacturing environment is essential
Recognised electrical / mechanical maintenance apprenticeship / training scheme
Logical problem solving approach
Understand and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
Maintenance and repair of PLC systems
The successful candidate will have good communication skills and have a proactive, logical problem solving approach to tasks
Driving license
