This Role

This role is responsible the conversion of event enquiries and supporting the Event Sales Manager in achieving revenue targets. There will be a strong focus in social events within this role and it requires a real client relationship driver to nurture and to create successful events

 

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Lead on event enquiries (with a strong focus on social events) and convert to

contract.

• Liaising with the client to finalize the event contract in a timely manner noting all

key details and requests for a smooth handover to the Event Planner.

• Developing an excellent rapport with all clients, remaining accessible to them

through the enquiry process and adhering to the hotel’s standards and exceeding guest’s expectations.

• Ensure effective management of Opera, maximizing space yield and following up on holds.

• Contract and take all deposit payments in a timely manner prior the event date to protect the business.

• Meet existing and new clients and conduct show-rounds and FAM’s where

required

• Assist Event Sales Manager and Head of Sales on re-evaluating pricing matrix and offers to optimize spaces and opportunities.

• Assist Event Sales Manager in weekly reporting and forecast reports

• Be a key participant in team strategy and execution to achieve both team and personal KPI’s.

 

Must Haves:

3 + years in a similar role

Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments, have timely follow up and

execution

Knowledge of Opera or similar

Good financial understanding

A positive attitude and team player mentality

An eye for details and creativity for events
