Job role: Skilled Maintenance Technician
Salary: GBP17.89 per hour (GBP670.88 for full working week)
Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire
What we offer:
Hourly rate GBP17.89
37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break
Working days Monday to Friday 6:00 to 14:00
Additional working hours plus overtime may also be available
6 month contract, starting end March/Early AprilMain roles and responsibilities are:
Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance of the Powered Material Handling Vehicles (PMHV) fleet and plant.
Perform inspection and test routines to mechanical electrical installations in line with current regulations.
Perform PAT testing on various appliances.
Maintain various heating and cooling systems
Fabrication of new components with the use of industrial welders, mills, lathes, grinders and saws.
Modifying plant layout with associated mechanical/electrical installations to improve efficiency of the Daventry facilities.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment.
Work effectively and cross function within a team of various trades and skills to complete tasks efficiently and within budget.
To work flexible hours in line with maintenance targets and unforeseen breakdowns
Support the maintenance team with any other maintenance tasks, as required.Essential
Must be time served Mechanical and/or Electrical Craftsman to a minimum of City and Guilds level in Mechanical and/or Electrical engineering.
Good technique of time management and job prioritisation with the ability to react efficiently and effectively to situations, which can evolve at any time throughout the working week.
Have a good knowledge of current legislations including up to date Health and Safety practices
Ability to use fault-finding techniques to locate faults within various plants and equipment.
Full driving licence and thereby eligible to hold a PMHV licence and train towards and achieve all site specific PMHV license.
Have an up to date working knowledge of safe manual handlingDesirable
Skilled in welding and machining
Up to date knowledge of lifting and rigging practices.
Knowledge and understanding of PAT testing methods and routines.
Understand and be competent in the practice of electrical isolation procedures.To apply, please submit your CV
