Purchase Ledger Clerk, GBP22,000 - GBP23,000 Part Time 24 Hours a week, flexible working, Carlisle/home working
We are recruiting for an experienced part time Purchase Ledger Clerk with excellent IT skills to support our Management Accountant based in our busy accounts team in Carlisle City centre. This is an important role for our business and we are particularly looking for someone with plenty of experience of working in a high volume purchase ledger environment. You will join a small, friendly finance team and support the Management Accountant along with our Credit Contoller. As a busy training and recruitment company, we have a fast paced accounts department and ledgers require daily effective maintenance to ensure smooth running of the finance operations.
We are offering a competitive salary of up to GBP23,000 a year for the right person and can offer flexible home/office working for the right person. The position is offered on a part time basis and hours can be done over a flexible rota to suit the candidate. We offer 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
System People Ltd/SP Training are a Training and Recruitment business with 2 sites in Carlisle, one based at Carlisle Airport (SP Training) and the other; System People in the city centre. This role will provide finance support for both companies and can be based at home or either of our two sites.
Day to day duties will include;
- Processing up to 60 invoices a week, reconciling delivery notes to invoices received and purchase orders
- Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details within the purchase ledger
- Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements
- Assist in the preparation of purchase summaries
- Process business expense returns
- Processing BACS payments
- Credit Card reconciliations
Person Specification
- Highly numerate and great attention to detail
- Good team working skills
- The ability to work to monthly deadlines
- An aptitude for IT - knowledge of software packages like Excel, Sage and BACS
- AAT Qualified or part qualified preferred but not essential
Specifics
We are looking to appoint ASAP and we anticipate interviews with our Management Accountant to take place via ZOOM/Teams during mid June followed by face to face interviews in our office in Carlisle by late June.
