Baird and Co Recruitment, a specialist Social Housing recruitment firm, are currently seeking a specialist Supported Housing Centre Manager for a new service.
Starting in August, working 37.5 hours per week, this would be a brand new role, the Supported Housing Centre Manager would be responsible for running a Centre specifically designed to support homeless service users to get back on their feet.
Previous experience in a range of disciplines are being considered, although a working knowledge of supported housing or homeless support would be highly advantageous.
The Supported Housing Centre Manager will be expected to:
* Develop the centre's services, taking a partnership approach and being responsible for managing a team of staff and volunteers
* Working with stakeholders and partner organisations in a collaborative way on joint projects, acting as a point of contact for day-to-day operations
* Monitoring health and safety and safeguarding whilst supervising day to day and longer-term building maintenance, including cleaning and security
* Leading a team of staff and volunteers to deliver a safe and successful shared community space
* Participating in centre evaluation and monitoring, including distributing, collecting, and inputting feedback forms and case studies
* Responding to unforeseen and crisis situations and being available for emergency cover
The below is essential to secure the Supported Housing Centre Manager post:
* Experience of supported housing, or working with supported housing partners
* Experience of managing a busy customer-focused service
* Staff management including coaching and training
* Proof of strong partnership working
* NVQ level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or relevant qualification (or working towards) or Management Qualification (or working towards)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
