Job Purpose

To lead, co-ordinate, and develop the Chemence digital presence through mainstream digital channels.

The initial project goal is the successful launch of 4 new web sites complete with a suitable social media presence.

Once established, the ongoing evolution and maintenance of the websites is the primary responsibility of the Digital Manager who will provide direction for all continuing development.

This challenging role is for a well-organised web professional who enjoys working with stakeholders to create a robust plan and appreciates working as part of a team to deliver vibrant engaging web content.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Have proven experience of web content creation & management, from design to web promotion techniques.
  • Define and manage the creation and implementation of a content-migration and development strategy for each of the 4 new websites.
  • Able to work under own initiative whilst excelling at communication to all levels of the business.
  • Project manage internal customers and external suppliers to successfully deliver web projects to an agreed time line with clearly defined deliverables.
  • Lead a social media refresh project to ensure new product developments are communicated consistently across all channels presenting a single succinct 'message'
  • Work with internal departments to formulate suitable web content strategy and update content on a regular basis.
  • Assist in the quality assurance aspects of the new website designs, particularly regarding visitor usability and journey.
  • Contribute to the build of each website using an agreed web platform Content Management System
  • Contribute into the ongoing design, the functionality and the customer journey's, identifying optimisation opportunities.

Person Specification: Key Skills and Competencies

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience of current web technologies and content management systems - ideally Shopify, WordPress.
  • Possess a working knowledge of web design fundamentals, including associated topics such as SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) techniques and email marketing
  • Have a basic technical understanding of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and strong Office 365 skills together with basic image editing abilities.
  • An enthusiastic, confident team player who has experience of Project Management
  • Experience of Google Analytics
  • An organised, individual with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of digital marketing best practices and awareness of the benefits of social media
