A leading client on the outskirts of Cheltenham are looking for a Senior Service Desk Analyst to provide 2nd line technical support via phone, email and in person. It is the responsibility of the Senior Service Desk Analyst to escalate issues to the projects team with detailed analysis and troubleshooting steps undertaken. The Senior Service Desk Analyst will also manage all incidents ensuring they hit SLA where possible.

The IT department is responsible for supporting two sites in Gloucestershire, and significant investment is made in the IT department to give its staff a competitive advantage. Therefore the Senior Service Desk Analyst will need to ensure they're contributing toward a reliable service and strategy to support the business development plans.

Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and improve laptop builds
Assist in technical documentation, guidelines and procedures
Support the other Service Desk Analysts in the team
Ensure the company's service desk software is utilised correctly
Proactively suggest methods to improve the service to the business
Identify recurring tickets and suggest solutions to resolve
Support the Microsoft stack used in the business including Intune, Exchange, Office 365
Build strong working relationships with both the Service Desk and Projects Team

Skills/ Experience:

Experience working in a service desk role
Good knowledge of Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 365
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience writing technical and procedural documentation
Experience in configuring & setting up PC's and laptops
General understanding of LAN, WAN, DHCP, DNS
Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 or above
Working knowledge of Active Directory and/or Azure AD
VMware vSphere
Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops support
Ivanti Workspace Control and Automation Manager
Accountancy application support
