My client is a stunning restaurant (with rooms) supplying great food, cooked fresh to order. There is a lovely, relaxing environment for guests to enjoy their meal whether they choose a freshly cooked pizza from one of the new wood-fired pizza ovens or a more traditional choice from the Grill menu.

They are now looking for a General Manager to take the reins at this venue and put their own stamp on the role and the restaurant. You'll be a great leader who values the team, but is also focused on the customer experience and customer service.

Restaurant Manager responsibilities include maintaining the restaurant's revenue, profitability and quality goals. You will ensure efficient restaurant operation as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.

To be successful in this role, you'll need management skills and experience. We want you to know how to oversee the dining room, check-in with customers and balance seating capacity. Back-of-house management experience is also desirable, as you'll work alongside the Executive Chef for hiring chefs, set work schedules, oversee food prep and make sure we comply with health and safety restaurant regulations.

You'll be expected to lead by example and uplift the staff during busy moments in a fast-paced environment. Ultimately, you will ensure our restaurant runs smoothly and customers have pleasant dining experiences.

Main responsibilities:

* Coordinate daily Front of House and Back of House restaurant operations

* Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction

* Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints

* Organize and supervise shifts

* Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity

* Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products

* Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations

* Manage restaurant's good image and suggest ways to improve it

* Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste

* Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses

* Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices

* Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations

Ideally, you will have:

* Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager, Hospitality Manager or similar role

* Proven customer service experience as a manager

* Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with the ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff

* Familiarity with restaurant management software

* Strong leadership, motivational and people skills

* Acute financial management skills

* Great leadership qualities and skills

* Passion for the industry

* Excellent customer service skills

* Ability to engage with people

In return, you will be offered:

* Basic salary of GBP30,000 - GBP34,000 DOE
