Job Title: Shipping Administrator
Reports To: Shipping Supervisor
Hours: 37.50
Salary: GBP11.00 - GBP13.00 per hour
Location: Hungerford, Berkshire
Purpose of the job:
Arrange the correct terms in a timely and most economic method to ship the company's products domestic/worldwide by road, air or sea ensuring on time delivery.
Main duties & responsibilities:
Obtaining competitive quotes for shipments
Composing bank drafts and letters of credit
Liaising internally with all functions to ensure on-time despatch of goods
Liaising externally with freight forwarders
Preparation of packing and picking lists, shipping and invoicing documents
Preparation of customs and excise documentation including A.tr, EUR1 and COFO document
Continually review and benchmark freight recovery costs, territory/shipments, as and when included
Log shipments in all relevant spreadsheets
Assist customers with POD's/Shipment queries when required.
Qualifications / Skills
Good administration skills (Microsoft Office)
Import / Export knowledge preferable
Knowledge of Inco / Export terms
Good numeracy, communication and telephone skills
Inquisitive and technically minded
Good analytical skills
Experience in Volume manufacturing, preferred
Attention to detail
Experience with MRP / ERP Systems (SAP Preferred)
