NFF is part of Biscuit International (BI), one of Europe's leading players in the private label sweet biscuit market. Three of our permanent roles are for Palletisers. Palletisers will build up cases of finished product by hand and prepare it for cold storage.


WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE?

  • Safely operating and cleaning assigned equipment.
  • Packet code setting/positioning
  • Attending Quality Kitchens- knowledge of specification of the outer case, inner case/wrap, seal and understanding Quality Kitchen report.
  • Troubleshoot wrapping issues to be able to provide relevant information to attending setter/engineer
  • Reporting potential issues before they become breakdowns/MI.
  • Stacking and wrapping finished product appropriately and transporting safely into finished goods warehouse.
  • Completing start-up tasks: stacking cardboard, loading plastic wrap, bringing pallets to Palletizing room, logging into computer to prep tags for the day.
  • Completing quality checks on finished product.
  • Completing paperwork in accurate and timely manner.
  • Inputting data on a computer terminal to identify, label, and palletize finished products.
  • Interacting with warehouse team members, production, and quality control to maximize output efficiency, quality and safety.
  • Ensuring finished product, stacked, stored correctly and safely
  • General safety of the palletising and warehousing area- ready at all times.
  • All quality checks completed, data entered into computer systems correctly and required paperwork completed
  • Maintain GMP at all times, including allergen.


WHAT EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION?

Essential:

  • Right to work in United Kingdom
  • Good standard of verbal and written English communication.
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Experience of forking in a similar role

Desirable:

  • Good standard of general education
  • Experience of working in a food industry.
  • Generic wrapper knowledge
  • Food Safety training
  • Manual Handling
  • Forklift Truck training


WHAT ARE THE FINER DETAILS OF YOUR ROLE?

This is a permanent night shift role where you will be required to work a total of 36 hours per week, comprising of 3 x 12-hour shifts. You will work Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday one week and then the following week you will work Thursday, Friday & Saturday. You will not work on a Sunday. This role provides an incredible work life balance as you will have up to 7 days rest between rotations every three weeks.

WHAT SALARY PACKAGE YOU WILL BE RECEIVING

This position pays GBP9.44 per hour. NFF provides auto-enrolled pension and free parking for all employees.
