HOLMES Investigative Support Officer

Working in conjunction with West Mercia Police, we are looking to recruit a Home Office Large Major Enquiry System(HOLMES) Investigative Support Officer on an initial 6 month Fixed Term contract.

This position is to Operate and supervise the use of HOLMES and perform the role of Exhibits officer ensuring the correct handling of exhibits relating to the case

The main responsibilities of the role include

- Provide HOLMES indexing services and other associated roles
- Support the SIO and OIC in the preparation of case papers
- Provide advice and support to all aspects of the use of HOLMES within investigations
- Manage the exhibits recording system and support the exhibits officer
- Carry out the role of researcher within parameters of CBSAP

As a suitable candidate you will offer the following

- Be prepared to travel throughout West Mercia Policing areas
- Experience of major and serious crime investigations within a major incident room
- Knowledge of MIRSAP and CBSAP
- Skills in research and analysis
- Flexibility to support the department during major enquiries

This role is initially for 6 months with a very good chance it will be extended, the starting salary point for this role is between GBP23,817 and GBP26,616.
