Account Manager

I am working with a fast-growing MSP seeking a seasoned and technically-minded Account Manager to join their expanding team.

The ideal candidate will have a detailed knowledge of business IT infrastructures and environments, be highly proficient in assessing and reshaping IT landscapes, overseeing and understanding detailed audits and guiding the customers to the solution that best suits the client's use case.

About the role:

clients who use both macOS and Windows, use cloud before on-premises, and have a passion to make their IT better.

As an Account Manager, you will be primarily tasked with maintaining excellent working relationships with our clients. This will include holding regular meetings, staying in communication before, during and after projects and being available to respond to any client issues as they may arise.

In addition to your primary responsibilities, you will be involved in lead generation and engaging with new business enquiries.

You will be primarily based at the Leicester HQ, built to offer an exceptional working environment offering collaboration spaces and breakout areas. You will have the opportunity to benefit from a flexible working structure of being able to split your time between working from the office and home. Onsite presence will regularly be required by our clients in the UK (and potentially other countries) for meetings, and accompanying engineers for on-site visits as might be required. As such a willingness to travel and a full UK driving licence is required, along with access to your own vehicle in order to travel to customer sites.

We are not looking for the typical Account Manager. Experience in the industry is key, but in equal measure, so is your ability to deliver outstanding customer service focussed on providing positive customer experiences.

Required skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in building and maintaining client relationships
  • A current and working knowledge of IT infrastructure, SaaS, and key concepts
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to converse with both technical and non-technical people
  • Working with clients to develop IT strategy around estate lifecycle and budget planning
  • A wealth of experience engaging with decision makers
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements (GDPR, Cyber Essentials, ISO, PCI-DSS)

Salary: GBP30,000 - GBP38,000 depending on experience
