Our client is a well-respected distributor of building materials into the construction sector. They are recruiting an Site Operations Manager to be the lead person within a builders merchants environment - overseeing the operational function of the branch - Heath & Safety, Stock, the warehouse and logisitical functions of an important site.

You will have overall responsiblity for the site / branch with x2 Sales Managers reporting into and overseeing the sales function of the branch, whilst you oversee the Branch Operations. As the lead manager on site with Profit & Loss responsibilty, you will also have a commercial appreciation of how to run a successful operation.

We are looking for an exceptional Branch Manager or Operations Manager to lead this new branch.

• New branch site - we therefore need a strong Operations Manager of Branch Manager to go the extra mile
• Overseeing both the people aspect of the branch, transport, warehousing, Health & Safety and general operations of the branch
• Oversee a growing team. Initially a team of circa 10 people
• Strong Operational acumen
• Motivational Operations Manager
• Health & Safety (IOSH or equivalent)
• Knowledge of environmental legislation and ISO 14001
• Experience of logistic scheduling and processes
• Working knowledge of the some of the following: Construction Supplies / Building Materials / Builders Merchants / Civils / Drainage / Insulation / Timber Supplies
• Stock, Transport, Health & Safety and Operational accountability

This role requires a Operations Manager or Branch Manager for the Builders Merchants / Insulation / Civils Distribution sector who can come in and form part of the senior management team and together drive the business forward. Running both the transport and operations of the branch. Health & Safety (IOSH or equivalent) is critical alongside stock management and smooth operational management.

An Operations Manager from the world of the builders merchants, timber merchants or specialist civils / drainage / insulation distributors - building materials / construction supplies within the Construction sector.
