TE Connectivity manufactures connectivity and sensor products for harsh environments in a variety of industries, such as automotive, industrial equipment, data communication systems, aerospace, defense, medical, oil and gas, consumer electronics and energy.

Our Hastings site is unique to TE Connectivity, as it is only one of a few sites where it has all functions needed on site to take raw material in and ship a fully functional connector out to its customers. Hastings manufactures connectors for harsh environments, particularly for military, aerospace, and Autosport.

The Role
As a Laboratory Technician you will be working with the wider team to help maintain a efficient, reliable and repeatable plating process, to facilitate the production of quality parts.

You will assist with the maintaining the operation of the effluent treatment and water plants to again ensure continued operation of the plating shop function.

The successful candidate will also play a role in the development of new plating methods, contribute to the review & development of existing methods and support the control of the effluent treatment plant.

What you must have
We are ideally seeking an individual who holds experience within in a Laboratory environment either coming from education or work experience with Chemical Analysis or Plating being highly advantageous.

We would also like you to hold all or some of the following:

• Basic Laboratory Competencies
• Sound fundamental qualifications in Maths, English & Chemistry
• High degree of initiative and ability to recognise hazardous conditions

Hastings is a picturesque town situated on the South East Coast of England, rich in history being primarily know for "The battle of Hastings" in 1066. It boasts a 3-mile seafront stretch with views across the English Channel. Brighton and London can be reached within 60-90-minute train journey.
