General Operative

We are currently working with a food manufacturing client based in Newmarket who are recruiting for a General Operative to join their team on a permanent basis. You will ideally have previous experience working within the food industry and happy to work within a fast-paced environment.

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Newmarket, Suffolk

Hours: 35 hours a week, Monday - Friday, 11am - 6pm with some overtime available at the weekends

Salary: GBP9.70 per hour

Duration: Permanent

Duties:

• Drying and preparing the fish for the kilns
• Loading and unloading vehicles for deliveries
• Ensuring that all paperwork is kept updated and completed
• Using blast cleaning equipment
• Operating pump trucks for loading
• Ensure all health and safety is adhered to

Skills and Experience Required:

• Previous experience working within the Food industry would be a benefit
• Able to lift items repetitively and sometimes heavy items
• Excellent communication skills
• Team player
• Organised and efficient
