ABP Specialist

Marks Sattin is currently recruiting for an Animal By Products (ABP) Specialist on a Permanenet basis to join a growing business based in Hampshire. The role would suit someone with a background or a degree in Life Sciences, knowledge of DEFRA, IVD Directive (98/79/EC) and proficienct in facility planning and information systems - SAP, MasterControl, Microsoft suite.

The duties include but aren't limited to:

• Serve as Subject Matter Expert on global Animal By-product legislation for the Division.
• Ensure required compliance to regulations is maintained.
• Managing the relationships with DEFRA and Official Veterinarians to maintain required Export Health Certificates and permits.
• Provide support onsite for all activities relating to ABP at Basingstoke UK and other MBD sites as required.
• Certification / Licensing.
• Animal Derived Component Certificate generation and maintenance.
• Perform internal audits to check compliance and records.
• Hosting audits and routine site visits from DEFRA.
• Verify product compliance with global market requirements.
• Supporting the ABP activities relating to the QMS processes Basingstoke site
• Change Control.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts and participate in CAPA activities.
• Create and maintain divisional SOPs and policies supporting each facility's quality management system.
• Develop forward-looking intelligence that highlights significant changes to regulations that could impact ability to
• serve the market.
• Maintain and communicate intelligence to all stakeholders on ABP/POAO legislation.
