Dawson Levy is delighted to be working with our client, a principle contractor to recruit for a Quantity Surveyor.
The Opportunity
We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join us in our Rail team within our Infrastructure business based along the Wessex Route. You will carry out financial and contractual administration on assigned contracts in accordance with company Procedures, to keep costs, income and cash flow within established targets and to optimise cash flow. To report to the Senior Surveyor on a functional basis and to the Project Manager on an operational basis on all financial and contractual matters to ensure that the Project Manager has available all necessary financial data in order to aid the decision making process on site.
Scope of Projects/works:
Working on both pre-construction delivery of projects with regard to earthworks, structures and buildings within a rail environment.
Based on the Wessex Route, with up to two days per week on site and then initially from home or with occasional trips to the Waterloo based office.
Requirments:
Must have NEC contract experience ideally with main contractor rail/civils background
Ideally 4/5 years' experience as a minimum
The role will initially be based from home as the client are trying to limit the number of people on site or in offices - Ideal locations being Wessex area (SW London, Berkshire, Hampshire, Southampton, Portsmouth) as this is where the majority of projects are based.
Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying
