We are looking for a strong administrator to join a fantastic and growing company, based in Hemel Hempstead.

This position could be suited to full-time or someone looking for slightly flexible/shorter hours.

Supporting the Office Manager and HR Advisor with varied administration tasks, this is an exciting opportunity to join a welcoming and friendly team as the company continues to expand.

You will need to have a solid background in administration, and a real passion for being organised and efficient. Meeting deadlines is important to you and you take real pride in your work. You like following processes and are committed to the smooth and efficient running of the department you support.

Key responsibilities:

Office Management:

  • Monitor all office contract renewal timelines, utility agreements etc, in order for Office Manager to review SLA's and manage any negotiations
  • Assist Office Manager with all ongoing building maintenance as required
  • Assist in organising and processing administration related to all company vehicles
  • Assisting with any travel arrangements for Directors as and when necessary
  • Management of all stationery orders including the raising of purchase orders
  • Assist in organising any social events as and when required

Sites:

  • Ensure all operational contracts are created and in place for existing and any new site openings
  • Maintain accurate records of all site leases and relevant legal documentation
  • Support the operations and maintenance of all sites as appropriate
  • Assist with new site opening projects
  • Purchase site essentials as requested and coordinate approvals of maintenance costs, and raising purchase orders for sign off
  • Assist with the organising of Manager meetings

HR Administration:

  • Issue new starter documentation for all new employees
  • Process all HR information on Sage HR - starters, leavers, holiday, relevant updates
  • Issue new correspondence and make relevant system updates for any contract amendments - e.g. change of hours, pay increases etc

What the employer is looking for:

  • At least 2 years' solid experience in a busy administration role, supporting different departments
  • Excellent organisational skills - able to plan and prioritise, as well as being deadline focused
  • Level-headed and able to remain calm and professional at all times
  • Demonstrate pride in your work, with high standards and an eye for detail
  • Confident communicator - very comfortable with all forms of communication both written and verbal
  • Understand the importance of remaining confidential and discreet at all times, given the sensitive nature of HR
  • Able to see a problem but quickly identify and recommend appropriate solutions and actions
  • Proficient in IT packages, including Excel
  • Due to location, you must be a driver with your own vehicle to be considered
